Throughout the world, millions of people confront hunger, and millions more live in abject poverty. Even now, food insecurity remains an unsolvable problem. With growing unemployment and schools remaining closed, access to food through free school meals and food banks will become more difficult.
This societal issue will also continue to garner attention when the majority of Gen Z members reach the voting age. Gen Z appears to feel that hunger and malnutrition are essential concerns that must be addressed, but earlier generations rank them lower on the list of societal challenges.
