Wat Arun, Thailand’s most famous Buddhist temple, is a visualization of Mount Meru, the Buddhist cosmological center, in architectural form. In 1768, King Taksin envisioned the Aruna Temple. Porcelain and tinted glass adorn the 70-meter-tall tower. Wat Arun is known for its exquisite murals and golden Buddha statue.
