While Scotland’s pine woods do not change color, its deciduous trees exhibit some of the most vibrant fall hues in Europe. Each September, Pitlochry hosts the Enchanted Forest, a nocturnal event that illuminates the trees outside the town’s forests to soaring music. You can walk down to the dam that separates the Tummel River from Loch Faskally for the best view of leaf-shedding waterside trees.
