Description

This painting was inspired by Claude Monet’s The Water-Lily Pond. Monet relocated to Giverny in 1883, where he remained until his death. On the grounds of his property, he established a water garden ‘for the aim of cultivating aquatic plants’, which he topped with a Japanese-style arched bridge.
