Description

Nothing beats enjoying the great outdoors with a raging fire, gooey s’mores, and a star-studded night sky. However, that great campfire comes with a lot of responsibility. Thus, for years to come, everyone can enjoy this experience in gorgeous woods, other wildlands, and even your own backyard. That is why it is critical to learn how to safely use a campfire.
Utilize the “drown, stir, and feel” method: completely submerge the fire with water, then use your shovel to soak any residual embers and ash. Turn wood and embers over and moisten all sides. Move some soil onto the fire spot and thoroughly mix it in to completely extinguish it. Finally, use the back of your hand to feel the area to ensure nothing is still smoldering.
